Shares on New Zealand's benchmark index surged as support from central banks helped fuel a bounce back from last week's lockdown-related selling.
Summerset led the market up on a solid earnings outcome.
The S&P / NZX 50 Index increased 220.81 points, or 1.9%, to 11,672.95 — the largest gain since mid-June. 40 stocks rose within the index, six dropped and four remained unchanged. Turnover was $136.3 million.
